EmailOctopus is easy to set up, with plenty of handy support from real people who are clearly invested in the product. Most of the features currently meet the industry standard from what I've seen among other services, and they're still building out a lot of features as well. I'm excited for what's to come.

It's still a little early, but the number one thing needed for our use case is deeper Zapier integration (more triggers, more things to be triggered by).

It has been easy to use and more user-friendly than MailChimp.

I would like to have more design options for the newsletter. In particular, I'd like to see more fonts available and be able to embed, rather than link, videos.

It's very easy to build emails and work with forms and landing pages

Before being able to send any communication they sent you a set of questions about your data base and lists, where and how you acquire your contacts. They sent this like two hours before I've signed in. I'm supposed to give them all my info, wait for their approval and only then shoot my emails. This is absurd doesn't happen with any other provider I've used before (mailchimp, hubspot, etc)

I love how responsive the team behind EO is, and I feel great knowing they give back to the environment. Plus, the interface is streamlined, the emails look good, and the system has never let me down.

There's some limited capability when it comes to including surveys, for example, but they're adding features all the time and I can always figure out how to do what I want (for example, just including a survey link).

We just needed an easy-to-use method for sending regular newsletters. The process for uploading lists and campaigns is clear and uncluttered. Campaigns are easy to build and offer enough customisations for our requirements. There is also comprehensive reporting. The whole service has provided exactly what we need to send out bulk emails to our subscribers.

I have no complaints about the EmailOctopus service.

It's the most affordable email marketing platform I've found and has way more features than what I currently use. Very happy with it.

I would love a way to create my own HTML based sign up form that I can submit new sign ups with. Really don't love the JavaScript based solutions.

Email Octopus is an excellent choice if you are a small business owner, one person company, or brand new to email marketing and automation. Lots of great tools and a very polished final look. Takes me a fraction of the time to create presentable emails and keep clients engaged. In addition, their customer service is incredible in terms of their helpfulness and response time!

The only downside is it doesn't (yet) have the ability to automate client birthday emails. This is a major feature for my service based business, but after speaking with their customer service team, I've learned that this is something Email Octopus hopes to address in the future.

I love that EO is so easy to set up and use - it took me less than 30 mins to set up my first automation (welcome email to new subs) and prepare my first weekly campaign. The UI was really nice too with the drag and drop builder (for someone like me who has no coding knowledge) and the flexibility to customise the layout even though I'm on a free plan. Also liked how generous EO in the early stages of growth for the user!

Have not run into any cons, but I would enjoy a more flexible builder UI that could help me standardise fonts and colors for the complete mail and be able to revert to it with a single click if any incorrect formatting exists. Also, pressing backspace to delete a word also deletes the space before that word, which isn't required (it slows down typing speed)

One thing - It would be useful to be able to delete certain dates in Recurring Events without having to delete each event individually.

I like the ease of use, excellent and very responsive customer service, affordability.

Some of the email functions are not perfect; for instance, I sometimes have trouble setting the right font size for my email campaigns.

EmailOctopus is a more accessible, user-friendly approach to email marketing than other products I've seen. Instead of trying to woo people with fancy design and loads of features, their site design and client dashboard lets the product speak for itself. Everything I need is easy to find.

I wish EmailOctopus had the features I liked about Convertkit, so I wouldn't feel like I was missing too much. For instance, I'd create opt-ins with lead magnets, so someone would subscribe and be sent that opt-in — without me needing to create an automation JUST for that opt-in/lead magnet.

Email Octopus is the only email program I could connect with. I can do almost anything with any program on a computer. But email marketing has always been overly complicated, in my opinion. I can write copy and set up great graphical design, but email marketing is like this bag of complications that the occasional email marketer doesn't get very proficient in. EmailOctopus simplifies all of this to the point that even if I don't become an expert in email marketing, I can still start and run a campaign and get good feedback on the quality of that email campaign. I like the fact that I can just relax after hitting the send button, and Email Octopus does the rest. For me, I like simplicity. Overly complicated doesn't work for me. Email Octopus is simple.

I am waiting for AI tools to be incorporated into EmailOctopus. I also think it would be cool if an email audience could be created right within the app.

EmailOctopus provides a dependable platform at a reasonable price, with exceptional customer service. Questions are swiftly and thoroughly answered. The platform is simple to use and offers a wide range of options that i have use to write our newsletter and email marketing content.

I'd want to see the email builder drag and drop functionality enhanced. It works okay, and the emails are attractive, but it isn't as polished as some other newsletter builder software that I have used. The email template should be more customizable and easy to add a design into it.

EmailOctopus has few free templates for creating landing pages.

I've been able to set up automated email sequences to engage with my subscribers, and segment my lists based on their behavior, which has helped me to send more targeted messages.The integration with third-party apps and services has also been a considerable plus for me. I've also used the WordPress integration to add sign-up forms to my website and grow my subscriber list.

I've found the analytics to be somewhat basic, and I would like to have more advanced features such as A/B testing. Additionally, customer support can be slow to respond at times.

Image management was great until 2 months ago, now I cannot view the images I integrate into campaigns from the campaign editing page , although they appear correctly in the email presentations.
